Paul D’Agostino retired as the Executive Director of Champions for Children in 2013. Having founded the agency in 1978, it has grown to 150 staff and 9 distinct programs. D’Agostino graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree and received his MSW from Catholic University. He has served as a consultant to the Spanish government, conducting courses in various cities in Spain. D’Agostino joined NASW as a student in 1967 and has held numerous NASW positions, including President of the Florida chapter, Treasurer of NASW National Board, and Secretary of the Assurance Services board. Currently, he is President of NASW Insurance Inc.
He served as a member of the National Ethics Committee and chaired its Professional Review Task Force. He presently is chair and/or sits on the board of two university advisory councils and held an Affiliate Assistant Professor position. He has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member and a frequent guest lecturer.
D’Agostino has always been active in both the professional and business community. He has held numerous leadership positions both locally, statewide and nationally. These include Leadership Tampa, The United Way, Blue Ridge Institute for Community Service Executives, and the Tampa Rotary. He has been involved in extensive advocacy work requiring him to register as a lobbyist in front of the Florida Legislature. Throughout his career, D’Agostino has received numerous awards and recognition and is nationally and internationally published.
Presently serving as president on the Board of NASW Assurance Services, Inc.; Trustee of the NASW Insurance Trust (2006–2007); National Treasurer (2003–2006); President, NASW Florida Chapter (1994–1996). He is currently a presenter for NASW Assurance Services Risk Management Program.
